Counselor

We are a dedicated and expanding mental health practice committed to providing exceptional care to our clients. Our team is passionate about mental health and strives to make a positive impact in our community. We are currently seeking two (2) qualified Counselors to join our team.

    1. Are you a passionate clinician with experience in working with couples and families? Background in couples work is a plus!

    2. Have specific training in trauma-related work? such as Brainspotting or EMDR? Please come aboard!

    1. Conduct comprehensive assessments: Perform initial evaluations and ongoing assessments to gather information about clients' mental health concerns, personal history, and treatment goals.

    2. Develop treatment plans: Collaborate with clients to develop individualized treatment plans that address their specific needs and goals, utilizing evidence-based therapeutic techniques and interventions.

    3. Provide individual/family/couples counseling therapy: Conduct therapy sessions to help clients explore and address their mental health challenges.

    4. Offer crisis intervention: Respond to and manage crisis situations effectively, providing immediate support and implementing appropriate interventions to ensure the safety and well-being of clients.

    5. Maintain accurate records: Document all client interactions, including assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries, ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards.

    6. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams: Coordinate and collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists, social workers, and case managers, to develop comprehensive treatment plans and provide holistic care.

    7. Stay informed about best practices: Continuously update your knowledge and skills through ongoing professional development, including attending workshops, seminars, and training sessions related to mental health therapy.

    8. Provide education and resources: Educate clients and their families on mental health issues, coping strategies, and available community resources to enhance their understanding and support networks.

    9. Ensure ethical practice: Adhere to professional codes of ethics, maintain confidentiality, and uphold legal and regulatory requirements throughout the therapeutic process.

    10. Engage in self-care: Prioritize your own self-care and seek supervision or consultation as needed to maintain professional well-being.

    1. Education: Master's degree or higher in counseling, psychology, social work, or a related field. Must hold the necessary state licensure or certification to practice as a mental health therapist.

    2. Experience: A minimum of 1 year of experience providing mental health therapy services in a clinical or counseling setting (this can include Internships or practicum). Experience with diverse populations and a range of mental health disorders is preferred.

    3. Knowledge: Strong understanding of various therapeutic modalities, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, family systems therapy, or trauma-informed approaches.

    4. Empathy and interpersonal skills: Ability to establish rapport, demonstrate empathy, and build strong therapeutic relationships with clients from diverse backgrounds.

    5. Communication skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey complex psychological concepts and treatment plans to clients and other professionals.

    6. Problem-solving skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to assess client needs, develop treatment plans, and adapt therapeutic strategies as required.

    7. Cultural competence: Awareness and appreciation of cultural diversity, with the ability to provide culturally sensitive and inclusive mental health services.

    8. Ethical standards: Commitment to maintaining professional ethics, confidentiality, and adhering to legal and regulatory guidelines.

    5. Competitive Compensation: Insurance base pay for LGs starts at $60, LCs starts at $65. 60% for self-pay clients as a LG and 70% for LC. 8 Paid holidays + 1 floating holiday and accused PTO.

Clinical Supervisor

The Clinical Supervisor will be responsible for providing supervision and support to our team of counselors. This includes overseeing individual and group supervision sessions, ensuring quality care, and collaborating with the team to enhance our services. The ideal candidate will have a passion for mental health, a specific niche or specialty, and experience in supervising Licensed Graduate (LG) counselors.

    1. Someone who is passionate about their work.

    2. An individual with a specific niche or specialty that they can share and teach.

    3. A professional who is honest and assertive when needed.

    4. A team player who can collaborate effectively with the group.

    1. 2X monthly group supervision and individual supervision for each counselor 2X monthly

    2. Maintain a small caseload of 10 sessions per week

    3. Conduct bi-monthly group supervision sessions.

    4. Provide individual supervision with each counselor twice a month.

    5. Review and provide feedback on case notes, treatment plans, and diagnoses.

    6. Collaborate with the team to ensure consistent and high-quality care.

    7. Foster an environment of honesty and assertiveness when needed.

    8. Support the professional development of counselors by sharing expertise in a specific niche or specialty.

    1. Master’s level degree or above in a relevant field.

    2. Active Board-approved supervisor in Maryland to supervise LG counselors.

    3. Previous experience supervising LG counselors.

    4. Ability to provide both individual and group supervision.

    5. Knowledge of treatment plans, diagnoses, and case note reviews.

    6. Strong communication and collaboration skills.
