I am a dedicated and compassionate therapist with extensive experience working with children, adolescents, and adults. With a background in both private practice and in-patient psychiatric settings, I have supported individuals and families navigating a wide range of mental health challenges. I help my clients build resilience and confidence as they work through life’s challenges.

Together, we’ll explore the tools and strategies that work best for you, refining them along the way to meet your evolving needs. I am here to support you every step of the way, providing warmth, honesty, and a safe space to navigate life’s complexities.

I am best positioned to supervise clinicians who are eager to learn, open to feedback, and committed to their professional growth. I work well with supervisees who value self-reflection, critical thinking, and ethical decision-making, as these qualities foster meaningful development in clinical practice. I look for clinicians who are engaged, proactive in seeking guidance, and willing to challenge themselves while also recognizing their strengths. A strong sense of professionalism, curiosity, and a desire to continuously improve are key traits that contribute to a successful supervisory relationship and help ensure that they develop into confident, competent, and ethical practitioners.

What do you feel are your greatest strengths as a clinical supervisor?

My greatest strength as a clinical supervisor is creating a supportive, collaborative environment where supervisees feel both challenged and encouraged. I foster open communication, provide constructive feedback, and develop critical thinking skills to navigate complex cases with confidence. By modeling professional ethics and self-awareness, I help supervisees build competence, resilience, and confidence for independent practice.

What can supervisees expect during their first supervision session with you?

During the first supervision session, supervisees can expect a welcoming and structured conversation where we discuss their background, goals, strengths, and areas for growth. We will review supervision expectations, ethical considerations, and my supervisory approach to ensure alignment and clarity. I establish a productive and supportive relationship by fostering open communication, setting a collaborative tone, and creating a space where supervisees feel comfortable sharing challenges and asking questions. By building trust and mutual understanding from the start, I lay the foundation for a supervision experience that is both growth-oriented and supportive.

My ultimate goal for you is to help you become a confident, competent, and ethical counselor who can work independently while knowing when to seek guidance. Through regular feedback, reflective discussions, and skill evaluations, I support your growth in clinical practice, decision-making, and professional identity. By the end of supervision, you will have the knowledge, self-awareness, and autonomy needed to navigate challenges and succeed in independent practice.

What supervision methods and tools do you utilize and why?

I utilize a combination of case consultation, reflective discussion,role-playing, and structured feedback to support my supervisees' growth and competence. These methods encourage critical thinking, enhance clinical skills, and promote self-awareness, allowing supervisees to develop confidence in their decision-making and therapeutic techniques. Case consultation and discussion help refine their conceptualization and intervention strategies while also allowing direct insight into their strengths and areas for improvement. Role-playing offers a safe space to practice new skills, and structured feedback ensures they receive clear, constructive guidance to support their ongoing professional development.

Supervisees who prefer a highly directive approach without space for reflection and discussion may not be the best fit for my supervisory style, as I value collaboration, critical thinking, and self-awareness in the learning process. Additionally, those who are resistant to feedback or unwilling to engage in professional growth may find my approach challenging. If a mismatch arises, address it through open and honest communication, exploring the supervisee’s needs and expectations to determine if adjustments can be made. If necessary, I will help facilitate a transition to a supervisor who may better align with their learning style and professional goals.

  • I would describe myself as open, approachable, supportive, and thoughtful, with a strong commitment to growth—both my own and that of those I supervise. I bring qualities such as empathy, patience, and strong communication skills to my role as a clinical supervisor, allowing me to create a safe and constructive learning environment. I am also highly organized and attentive, ensuring that supervision is structured, intentional, and responsive to the needs of each supervisee. My ability to balance support with challenge helps clinicians build confidence, develop critical thinking skills, and grow into competent, ethical, and self-assured professionals.

  • Outside of work, I’m always doing something active with my husband and 4 year old son. We love being outside so we’re typically going on walks, hikes, to the pool, and visiting different places in the Baltimore area. We also spend many weekends traveling out of state to visit friends and family. My active lifestyle and Love for exploring new places contribute to my effectiveness as a supervisor by fostering adaptability, resilience, and a strong work-life balance—qualities I encourage in those I mentor. Engaging in outdoor activities helps me stay energized and present, allowing me to approach supervision with a clear mind and a fresh perspective. Traveling and connecting with others also enhance my ability to build meaningful relationships, communicate effectively, and appreciate diverse perspectives, all of which are essential in guiding and supporting new professionals in the field. She’s got extra toes and an extra amount of personality, so you might just see her make an appearance every now and then.

  • My professional philosophy as a clinical supervisor is rooted in the belief that effective supervision should be a collaborative, growth-oriented process that fosters both clinical competence and professional identity. I view supervision as an opportunity to empower clinicians to develop their skills, confidence, and ethical decision-making through reflection, feedback, and experiential learning. I integrate this philosophy by creating a supportive yet challenging environment where supervisees feel safe to explore their strengths and areas for growth. By modeling professionalism, encouraging self-awareness, and providing structured guidance, I help supervisees build the skills necessary for independent and ethical clinical practice.

Humor is my go-to for breaking the ice, and I’m a big believer that life’s easier to handle with a little laughter along the way.

  • I want my supervisees to feel supported, heard, and encouraged during our supervision sessions—creating a space where they can openly explore challenges, celebrate successes, and grow in their clinical skills with confidence. My approach is collaborative and reflective, ensuring they feel both challenged and guided in a way that fosters professional development. Between sessions, supervisees can expect me to be accessible for guidance as needed, provide relevant resources, and offer timely feedback to support their learning and clinical decision-making.
